FishbowlNY picks up publicists' comments about Black Crowes media black-out

For the second day in a row, Mediabistro's FishbowlNY website has covered my battle with the Black Crowes over their unwillingness to provide music journalists with tickets to cover their shows. I sent last Friday's FishbowlNY story, "The Black Crowes' Management Snubs High Times Editor's Ticket Request," to dozens of music-industry publicists I've worked with over the years. I received numerous replies. I posted the publicists' comments ("Black Crowes Controversy") and forwarded the post to FishbowlNY. Today, FishbowlNY picked up 3 of the comments in the story "Do Music Journalists Deserve Free Tickets?" and linked to my blog.

I agree with Steve...All bands should provide comp tickets to appropriate journalists. Even though I used the same hair stylist as the BC's for many years, and spent many nights at 3 of cups...I'm down on them for this action! Kudos Steve for making it an issue!

Love,
Dopey Lopes
