Rainy day softball stoners

Neither rain nor 100-degree weather (well, maybe a blackout) can stop High Times' "Slugging Stoners" from making their appointed rounds in Central Park. Dark skies and foreboding clouds hovered as the Bonghitters commenced their contest with WNYC on Thursday night. Three-run HRs by lefty-hitting leftfielder Jeremy Allen in the 1st and 3rd innings provided a huge cushion for the Bonghitters, who coasted to an 9-2 victory.

Lightning struck and thunder rolled from the 3rd inning on. By the top of the 5th, with WNYC batting, conditions worsened and then the deluge began. The game was called after 4 and 2/3 innings.

The Bonghitters are now 5-0. Next week's opponent is Rolling Stone.

Comments:
Hey, when we win, we don't go on the air and gloat (but we could...).

Wait till the rematch!!!
