My review of 'Pathfinder'

Similar to 300 and Apocalypto in its blood-letting and mythical storytelling, Marcus Nispel's Pathfinder (starring Karl Urban, at right) will appeal to fantasy film fans. Click here to read my review at LMagazine.com.

Two other movies that opened this week:

Rock the Bells - documentary about a chaotic Wu-Tang Clan reunion concert lacks the music that people went to the concert for. Too bad, because a few Wu songs at the end would have made this a must-see doc. Apparently, Wu-Tang did not give filmmakers Denis Hennelly and Casey Suchan clearance.

Everything's Gone Green - Paolo Costanzo (Road Trip) stars in Paul Fox's tale of a slacker who gets caught up in an illegal money-making scheme. Written by Douglas Coupland (Generation X) and set in Canada, it's a tepid effort, though there is a marijuana angle involving a grow-up run by one of the characters' parents.
